I was trying to figure out how to make a video driver for old versions of Windows that would support acceleration under virtualbox and found that someone already did it. The YouTube video shows Windows 98 running on Windows 11 with bench marking software, so you can see the acceleration. Looks good. I guess it is called "softgpu" and it might work on vmware and qemu too. The archive.org package has it all loaded up in a w98 VM and bench marking already installed so you can see it quickly. I am not installing Windows 98 tonight.
