The war plan the U.S. Defense Department sent via Signal to the Atlantic magazine

  • DNS Benchmark v2 Release 5 with Consultant License
    Guest:
If you own any earlier release of our DNS Benchmark you may immediately download its release #5 replacement. Running an earlier release will detect the new release and help you upgrade.

Although this release is cosmetic, appearance matters and affects ease of use. The biggest change, as seen in the image above, is that the DNS Benchmark now has a traditional Windows application menu to more fully expose its many features. This release is also "Consultant License Aware" and GRC will now issue a Consultant version when owners have previously purchased four "Personal Use" licenses. If you have previously purchased four DNSB licenses, or if you wish to upgrade your "Personal Use" license to Consultant, GRC's purchase process will direct you through that process.

  • BootAble – FreeDOS boot testing freeware

To obtain direct, low-level access to a system's mass storage drives, SpinRite runs under a GRC-customized version of FreeDOS which has been modified to add compatibility with all file systems. In order to run SpinRite it must first be possible to boot FreeDOS.

GRC's “BootAble” freeware allows anyone to easily create BIOS-bootable media in order to workout and confirm the details of getting a machine to boot FreeDOS through a BIOS. Once the means of doing that has been determined, the media created by SpinRite can be booted and run in the same way.

The participants here, who have taken the time to share their knowledge and experience, their successes and some frustrations with booting their computers into FreeDOS, have created a valuable knowledgebase which will benefit everyone who follows.

You may click on the image to the right to obtain your own copy of BootAble. Then use the knowledge and experience documented here to boot your computer(s) into FreeDOS. And please do not hesitate to ask questions – nowhere else can better answers be found.

(You may permanently close this reminder with the 'X' in the upper right.)

At least US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton had
100% possession and control of their tech gear.

Signal is outside of any such possession or control, plus
other compromises, see
https://www.google.com/search?q=signal+breach+and+security+compromises

But it does point to a varied response - consider the
endless scrutiny afterwards given to one and not the
other.

It's not about security <-- one subject here - it's who's
in 'power' at the time of discovery.

Wow, not sure where that's coming from, but it comes off as quite defensive.

The guy in charge is a convicted felon....

But this is getting off topic, so let's get back to the Signal/Atlantic issue.

Not defensive at all. I do not like politicians from any party. I've never belonged to a political party and would never consider doing so.

You are the ones who want to talk politics and throw your party's spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks, and then feign that you are the ones who wish to stay on topic.

And I make the same claim about you. If the convicted felon was in the other party it would not change your vote one iota. You BELONG to a political party. You do not think for yourself.

Reactions: hyperbole
Security wise, "the other party" has kicked people out for
bad humor, so no, the "convicted felons in both parties"
attempted rationalization doesn't fly.

Security wise, Trump wondered how Biden could possibly
win when Trump never saw anyone wearing a Biden hat -
because people voted against Trump, not for Biden, "the
other party" is not a party of personality, but by
comparison, is a party of Constitutional law..

Security wise, "The war plan the U.S. Defense Department
sent via Signal to the Atlantic magazine" continues to get
worse, sending US government war plans to a
non-governmental broadcaster, part of a broadcasting
system that has admitted in court that they lie to the public,
sending those plans to spouse and sibling, using an
insecure personal phone to do so, things an enlisted US
soldier would be court-martialed for, but all of this
misbehavior from the top because the US has put a
convicted felon in charge of the law.

Security wise, there is no security if people willfully
misbehave.

GRC Forums wise, this is international, not everyone here
votes in the US, but everyone can see the decay in US law.
