Relating to SN975, shownotes are here
The door is mostly just a DILLAGAF moment, door hardware supplied, but the door, likely an access door, is incorrectly installed, as it is fire code in almost all areas that fire doors are required to open outwards, and often enough the door push plate is supplied separately from the handle, so that this one never got drilled to suit the handle, likely with a matching push bar assembly on the inside, which was not installed, likely because it got a deadbolt instead. But still have to install the plate, as the door most probably came already installed in a frame, and drilled for the most common style of door furniture.
XP machine, yes I remember a very good thing from those early SN days, to use the thing Steve recommended, ZoneAlarm, as a firewall on Windows 98, later on XP, till Steve pointed out it had become malware with time, much like a much later thing as well, the most recent one which prompted Steve to change. Worked well till XP SP3, when the XP firewall was good enough, though I turned it on already with SP1, and also, after the first round of trojans and worms, had also mistrusted the Intranet as well.
