Has anyone else seen the breaking down of behavior of OneDrive? In the past couple weeks, many of my friends have seen their shared folders turn into shortcuts that used to be synced to their hard drive. There is a workaround listed on a Microsoft site:
But that is really just a kludgy workaround not a fix, since the files then need a network connection to continue be accessed.
It appears to me that Microsoft has some of its servers that support OneDrive running a different version of software than others, since only some users are affected. This has been going on for weeks. Any ideas other than migrating away from OneDrive that might help -- since the bug appears to be a server issue, the only thing I can think of that allows remote synchronization is using another synchronization program that will sync the files from the OneDrive network connection.
