Not responding to inserted SD card

When I follow the directions to insert the card, ValiDrive doesn't seem to notice anything. There's another thread here about testing a SD card, so I'm not sure why mine isn't working? I'm plugging it into my laptop's internal SD card slot, if this makes a difference.
 
Just double-checked using Device Manager's "By Connection" option, and the built-in card reader is directly attached to the MB (I've had others do otherwise).

I will say not having SD card support is unfortunate, because fake SD cards are also an issue just as much as fake USB drives.
 
ValiDrive works great with USB SD card readers. However, I agree that it would be great if ValiDrive supported built-in non-USB readers.
