I find the wise advice to backup bitlocker recovery key is not possible in Windows 11 since there is no Manage Bitlocker in Control Panel.
Or Am I missing something?
Googling "get bitlocker recovery keys without microsoft account" returned for me a cmd command that worked in administrator:
C:\Windows\System32>manage-bde -protectors -get c:
BitLocker Drive Encryption: Configuration Tool version 10.0.22621
Copyright (C) 2013 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
Volume C: [OS]
All Key Protectors
TPM:
ID: {xxxxx}
PCR Validation Profile:
7, 11
(Uses Secure Boot for integrity validation)
Numerical Password:
ID: {xxxxx}
Password:
zzzzzzzzz
C:\Windows\System32>manage-bde -protectors -get d:
BitLocker Drive Encryption: Configuration Tool version 10.0.22621
Copyright (C) 2013 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
Volume D: [BOOTABLE R1]
All Key Protectors
ERROR: No key protectors found.
C:\Windows\System32>
Hoping to confirm these are what I need to back up?
Thanks
