I highly enjoyed SN 1018. On the topic of syncing bookmarks from browsers...
I used to use xBrowserSync and liked it. No issues with it. The developer went quiet and the app was pulled from Google Play. There's only issue reporting and no activity for the apps or server side code repositories. Perhaps it's near code complete. But overall, I got a little worried, especially with depending on the backend for sync.
I was happy to find Floccus, which is open source, in Google Play, FDroid, iOS, Firefox, Chrome, Edge, etc. It does bookmarks and tabs. The back end can be your Google Drive, your webDAV server (I got webDAV at Fastmail), your NextCloud (if one has a server), your LinkWarden and even your Git. Note your data is yours.
I'm a happy user. I still backup my bookmarks routinely, but have them in both my chrome-based and Firefox browsers, as well as the Floccus app on my Android.
Just be sure to disable syncing bookmarks in the browser back to their homes before using these types of services. And take bookmark backups/exports.
