Secure Network On-the-Go or Lending to Strangers

But whatever she does online can be traced back to your ISP account.

    6.1 or 7.0

If it is of no use, it has no value. If it has no value it is worthless. It would implement it in a heartbeat if my bank, brokerage firm, investment accounts, etc., etc., utilized it, but none do. Even though in theory it represents a significant step in securing logins the lack of...

First, I don't believe that Steve is that petty. Stating reality is slander? explain.

    6.1 or 7.0

SQRL is worthless for the simple reason it seems no one except GRC has implemented it, and perhaps a couple of Steve's most ardent followers. 6.5 or 7 years in development... while hundreds/thousands or more of people also had useless software, Spinrite, which no longer works on the...

    6.1 or 7.0

Anything that will run with any hardware/drives newer than say 2016 would be welcome. Numbers or names are meaningless, what matters is function. Long time user and owner... but it has been a completely useless with newer drives, and/or BIOS. Example, 6-year-old basic Dell laptop, i5...

LastPass changes will make free tier less useful

I pulled the plug on LP when it was first announced they were changing. Moved to Bitwarden. No regrets at all ...

Is RDP in a local network a risk

I have used RDP to access other computers on my network for decades. Never had an issue. There is no port forwarding enabled on my router, for anything. Oh, and passwords... There is common sense and paranoia. I won't inconvenience myself to the point I need to go to the basement to check...

    FYI SpinRite's Development Roadmap

I used it through work from very early versions, on 5¼" floppy days, when an 80MB drive was a monster. My personal copy has recovered multiple drives over the years. But for years now totally useless. The first time it failed for me was on a rather mundane laptop with a 500 GB drive. Nothing...

    FYI SpinRite's Development Roadmap

Newby Of course due to changes in hardware, etc., it has been useless for my needs for at least 3+ years, so what if I need to wait 2 or 3 more years for an useable version. 3 years ago, this stopped it cold, do not have anything it will run on though I have needed it multiple times. Trash...

LastPass changes will make free tier less useful

We now know LastPass's Android app has 7 trackers imbeded. https://www.pcmag.com/news/lastpass-android-app-contains-7-trackers. LP has apparently made our data secure within the realm of lastpass. However, third party applications have failed. LastPass's Android app was written by a third...

LastPass changes will make free tier less useful

I'm 5 days post LastPass and converting to BitWarden. Now with routine usage I'm quite happy with BW. Functions a bit different but is much less temperamental than LP, and I much prefer the Android version vs. LP.

LastPass changes will make free tier less useful

My HP was out of date, drivers were becoming a challenge to install on Win 10, and time for a replacement Why I chose the Brother INKvestment Tank printer. Also, the features/function of the printer were inline with what I need.

And cheap inkjet printers that will milk you for ink cartridges. I suspect that they actually lose money on the hardware knowing they will recover it on the ink. The most annoying was Quicken, which I have used from the DOS days. Then they started timebombing features, i.e. downloading from...

LastPass changes will make free tier less useful

Went to LastPass site and closed/deleted my account which they say will wipe all my info from their system. No choice to take their word for it, or as SG says TNO. As for paying for the service, it is not about the $$, but the concept of having my CC info scattered/stored on more and more...

LastPass changes will make free tier less useful

I installed BitWarden a couple of hours ago. Exported all my stuff from LP, and imported into BW. There are some learning curves, but nothing that won't resolve in a day or so. I've deleted LP from everything now. I'm not going to sweat comparing how long different tools say it will take co...
